We support our online classes with the digital learning platform maxbrain.com. This platform unites digital learning with interactive video conferencing technology. You use the platform during the class but also for self studies.

Focused on the needs of the child we support it goal-oriented to the requested school level. The class takes place at your home or at our location in Wallisellen/Dübendorf. 

The teacher works with the child on homework. In class we stimulate effective and sustainable learning. The newly learned knowledge can be applied on new and unusual situations. Conscious and intensive practice is tied up with the current level of knowledge.

Transfer of learning

The language is an instrument to communicate. Additionally, the transfer of learning is supported by different forms of grammar exercises. Diversified, constant and challanging practice is an important part of the class. 

Learning method and forms of teaching

abc sprachen teaches with an activity-oriented approach and pursues a communicative learning approach. In class we encourage self-reliant and lasting learning.

We will show the child further exercise possibilites that will be used in class or that it can use independently, i.e. online exercises, radio broadcast, practical and need-oriented tasks.

The teacher creates a diversified class that matches the needs and uses different teaching techniques such as simulation of a situation, games, self-study, project work, different exercises for speaking, listening, grammar, reading, writing, vocabulary, etc.

Diploma

An internationally recognised certificate is offered by telc (The European Langauge Certificate) language certificates "Junior" or "School".

As a licenced telc exemination center we offer preparation classes and we carry out the exam at our location in Wallisellen/Dübendorf. Specific teaching material prepares to the exam. The telc certificate proofs the language level according to CEFR. Exams take place upon request.

Costs, duration and terms and conditions

In our school, you get more for your money. One lesson takes 60 minutes. The course materials are included in the price. If the teacher travels to your home, the travel is included when the child lives in the surroundings of Zurich airport or the city of Zurich or surroundings. Beyond this area we charge the travel costs half fare 2nd class.

According to the goals, the course duration is set together with the teacher.
